Building Owner Appointment

The Building Owner(s) are in acceptance of the fee proposal as per the quote provided. If no quote has been provided, they confirm acceptance of the fees as listed on our website and further defined in our Terms and Conditions.

The Building Owner(s) hereby accepts responsibility for costs incurred in preparing and serving notice(s), site visit(s), recording any condition record(s) and making and serving any award(s), or other task(s) deemed necessary, in advance of any award being served.

(The selected surveyor) is authorised to sign, issue, serve, receive and respond to all notices under the Party Wall Etc Act 1996 and is further authorised to act as Building Owner(s) or Agreed Surveyor.

(The selected surveyor) is authorised to make all requests and appointments under the Act, which may be necessary to expedite the progress of the matter and any other disputed matter/s that may arise as a result of, or pursuant to the carrying out of, the works proposed in the notice(s).

(the selected surveyor) is appointed to undertake a Schedule of Condition of the neighbouring properties. Where access is not duly provided an external survey will be conducted.





Adjoining Owner Appointment

(The selected surveyor) is appointed as Adjoining Owner(s) Surveyor in accordance with the Party Wall etc. Act 1996 in relation to the notice received.

(The selected surveyor) is authorised to receive and respond to all notices under the Party Wall Etc Act 1996.

It is understood that the Building Owner/s will be responsible for all reasonable fees incurred for works notified under the Act, a dispute under the Act having arisen and there is no expectation of costs being incurred by the Adjoining Owner(s).

(The selected surveyor) is authorised to make all requests and appointments under the Act, which may be necessary to expedite the progress of the matter and any other disputed matter/s that may arise as a result of, or pursuant to the carrying out of, the works proposed in the notice(s).
It is understood that a Schedule of Condition of the Adjoining Owners premises shall be undertaken, where access is not provided this will be an external survey only and it is further understand that this will form part of the Award.

Costs for awards relating to disputes arising from previously awarded work are to be determined by the surveyor(s).

This document is signed on behalf of the owner(s).



By signing it is confirmed that owner(s) is an owner within the meaning of the Act.

If signing on behalf of all of the owners or on behalf of an organisation or corporate body, the signatory confirms that they have the necessary authority.

I understand and accept that my electronic signature will be as valid as a handwritten signature and considered original to the extent allowed by applicable law and further authorise (the selected surveyor) to sign, serve and receive Notices, Awards and other communications electronically where appropriate and in accordance with the provisions of The Party Wall etc. Act 1996 (Electronic Communications) Order 2016.
